The Soul Traveler Paintings
about me
My name is Ludovic Lan. I was born in Brussels in 1979. Around the age of 17, I started photography and painted my first works, being inspired by the alternative, rock and metal culture of the 90s.
Having studied art history and archeology at the University of Louvain-la-Neuve, I collaborated with several Belgian museums to promote collections. I also worked in the world of antiques and works of art as an antique dealer and photographer for auction houses. Thus, I was able to evolve artistically by carefully observing thousands of paintings from different periods and styles.
I am interested in the prehistory of civilizations, anthropology and the collapsology of modern societies. I think that the gradual evolution of Humanity towards a reconnection to nature, accompanied by a simpler and more spiritual life, will be the key to freeing ourselves from the burden of suffering accumulated over millennia, and particularly in recent centuries. But we must first free ourselves from the military-industrial complex, which is too predatory, ideological and hierarchical. Furthermore, I am not against technology or modern science, provided that they meet ancestral knowledge, and that AI remains at the service of humans, and not the other way around.
